JD: Let’s learn from last season

Amakhosi started the 2011/12 campaign like a house on fire – with Dladla instrumental as he netted in the first three matches – before going into a slump which ultimately cost them the League title.

And Chiefs have again started well, winning their opening two League matches against AmaZulu (6-0) and Mamelodi Sundowns (2-1).

Now Dladla wants his teammates to maintain that start and keep it going for a good while longer.

“We started well last season, but midway in the first half of the season we started dropping points which did not do us any favours. It is very important that we ensure that we do not repeat the same mistakes,” he tells the club’s official website.

“We have had a good start to the season, but we should remember that it is still early days in the League. We just need to keep on going and forget about our past results.”

On Saturday Chiefs face Free State Stars – the only other team with a 100 percent start to the season. Kick-Off at Charles Mopeli Stadium is 15h30.
