Wits boss hails latest signings


The Students added the two players to their roster today, with Fanteni reportedly costing the club R1.5million from Ajax Cape Town.

Mashaba joins on a four-year deal from Free State Stars, where he had reportedly gone Awol in search of an improved contract.

“Fanteni and Mashaba are two fantastic signings and I am convinced that they will bring a wealth of experience and quality to our squad this season,” Ferreira tells the club’s official website.

Wits have gone on a recruitment drive of note since Ferreira arrived from SuperSport United during the off-season, bringing in Ebrahim Seedat, Jackson Mabokgwane, James Mayinga, Erwin Isaacs, Bryce Moon, Calvin Kadi, Aaron Mokoena, Thomas Sweswe, Tinashe Nengomasha, Tlou Molekwane and Matthew Pattison.
