Neeskens full of praise for Chippa

Sundowns beat United 1-0 at Lucas Moripe Stadium yesterday, but were forced to dig deep into their reserves to get one past the stubborn Chippa defence.

Manqoba Mngqithi's team held firm for most of the 90 minutes, but were finally undone by a great set-piece from Thamsanqa Sangweni in the 71st minute.

"I was happy with the three points but not happy with our performance," Neeskens says. "Our passing game was very bad and our crossing was not good.

"However, it's the results that count most. I am happy with the three points, which are most important.

"We just have to go back to training and try to improve our performance."

The Dutch coach was full of praise for his opponents' debut Premiership performance.

"They deserve a big compliment. They showed they can play football and they were good building from the back.

"I think they are going to surprise a lot of teams this season."
