Friendly wrap: Spain, Argentina win big


Argentina 4-0 Iraq

A second-string Argentina were too much handle for Iraq, with the South Americans clinching a 4-0 win at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium.

Lautaro Martinez put Argentina ahead after 18 minutes, before Roberto Pereyra doubled the advantage in the 53rd minute.

German Pezzela registered the South Americans with eight minutes to play, while Franco Cervi rounded off the scoring second-half stoppage time.

Wales 1-4 Spain

Spain thrashed Wales 4-1 in an international friendly, as Luis Enrique maintained his winning start.

Paco Alcacer, who netted a hat-trick for Borussia Dortmund over the weekend, continued his fine form by netting a first-half brace.

Sergio Ramos also got on the score-sheet, while Marc Batra netted La Roja's fourth in the 74th minute.

The Welsh did bag a consolation in the 89th minute thanks to Sam Vokes' close range finish.

France 2-2 Iceland

Two goals in the final five minutes saw France register a come-from-behind 2-2 draw with Iceland at the Stade de Roudourou.

Birkir Bjarnason and  Kari Arnason put the visitors with goals in the 30th and 58th minute respectively.

The world champions reduced the deficit through an own goal from Holmar Eyjolfsson, before Kylian Mbappe scored from the penalty spot in the 90th minute to salvage a draw.
