Igesund may coach in Europe

Igesund was roped in to serve on Thanda’s technical bench earlier this week following a bad run by the struggling Swedish-funded outfit.

“I am not here to take anyone’s job. I simply accepted the job of an advisor because I am friends with Thanda’s bosses.

“I don’t think I’m ready to go back to coaching now as I have plans to go to Austria next year and could take up a coaching job there next year,” the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach explains.

Dumisani Ndlovu, who sold his Benoni Premier United franchise to the Swedish consortium, tells KickOff.com that he had a hand in Igesund’s arrival at Thanda.

Ndlovu says he initially wanted Igesund on board while the Rabbits were still campaigning in the PSL. But Igesund opted for the better-paying job at Sundowns instead.
