Hunt opts to remain silent

Speaking to Kick Off after United beat Orlando Pirates 3-1 in an Absa Premier League game at Loftus Stadium yesterday, Hunt refused to commit himself and declared that his team is back to winning ways.

“I want to remain silent now and not respond to those critics who have had a lot to say about Supersport’s performance this season. I’m happy with our showing against Pirates, but lets make a final judgment at the end of the season.”

“The team has shown great improvement over the past five games and I think we should have finished Pirates in the first half. What impressed me most is the character our players showed after our opponents equalized.”

United defender Bongani Khumalo, who scored his first goal in the PSL, says he will cherish Dennis Masina’s corner kick, from which he headed in his goal, for a long time.

“It was an unbelievable feeling. The goal came when we needed it most and I was spot on with my timing. This goal has motivated me to push even harder and always make myself available during set pieces so as to get more goals for the team this season.”
