Hachilensa, a star performer for Chipolopolo at right-back during the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana, has been without a club since he left Finnish club IFK Mariehamn last year after a four-month spell with the club.
Before heading off to Finland, the Zambian had played a crucial role in helping Stars to promotion last season as he captained the team playing in 24 games.
Former Black Leopards and Golden Arrows defender Ryan Hartslief, who is Hachilensa’s business manager, tells KickOff.com that the 28 year-old will spend a week in Turkey.
“Clive will be attending trials with a prominent top division club in Turkey. He left last night and will be spending a week with the club as he is currently a free agent following the expiry of his contract in Finland.
“He has played in difficult conditions in Finland before so I hope that he will fare well in Turkey and win a contract,” says Hartslief without wanting to reveal the name of the club that is believed to be based in Ankara.
Since returning from Finland towards the end of last year before the long winter break, Hachilensa has been doing duty for his former club Zesco United in Zambia.
