Phungwayo: Why fix what ain’t broken?

Phungwayo missed the 2-1 win over his former club Orlando Pirates and 1-0 victory against Bidvest Wits following his sending off against SuperSport United on December 13.

Luc Eymael's Ea Lla Koto side next host fellow high-flyers Cape Town City at Goble Park on Saturday(18h00).

"The suspension is over, hopefully I will play this week," Phungwayo tells

"I have missed two games. I mean the guys have been doing well. So you can imagine we've been winning games. So it's a bit tricky obvious, especially when the guys are doing well. There is no one who is guaranteed any game-time.

"The guys have played two games and did well, our position in the log confirms that. If it's not broken it doesn't need to be fixed. But I'm pushing. If the guys are doing well you can't really complain if the coach wants to keep the same team."

He adds: "It's up to the coach, I'm not gonna be disappointed if I don't play because it's not about one person. I will wait for my turn because it's about everyone working together."
