The France goalkeeper admitted that Nigeria's physical attributes means they will be tough to play against.
"This type of match will be decided on little details," he said. "I think their collective strength is very strong.
"They are very strong physically and have a lot of offensive skill in the way they play. They are also very fast and the two forwards can be in front of your goal with two or three passes.
"We have to be focused for 90 minutes and be sure we keep our concentration.
"The level of competition at this World Cup is very high and the margin of error is very small so we have to be at our best."
Having seen Nigeria's displays against Bosnia and Argentina, Lloris says France will have to be at their best.
"The competitive spirit of all the players will be key, but we have to respect our opponents."
