Fans who had tickets for the washed-out MTN 8 Final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs in Durban on Saturday will be able to get a refund if they are not able to attend the rescheduled fixture.
Supporters from all over the country flocked to Durban for the show-piece match at the Absa Stadium, but heavy rain during the week and on the day of the match made the pitch unplayable.
The game was postponed to Tuesday at the same venuw (kick-off 20h15), but many who ravelled to Durban for the game will not be able to stay on or return due to work commitments.
The PSL moved swiftly to assure fans that they can get a refund on their tickets should they be unable to atend.
“Following the postponement of the MTN8 Final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, the Premier Soccer League would like to announce that fans who are in possession of tickets for the final and can’t make the re-scheduled match on Tuesday, will be refunded,” a statement from PSL CEO Kjetil Siem says.
“This will have to be done on Monday at any computicket outlet. We understand that fans have come from far afield to Durban and because of matter’s beyond our control, the match could not take place.
“Fans now have till close of business on Monday to have their tickets re-funded.”
