Evans warns on Arrows clash

The Bafana Bafana defender says it is particularly Golden Arrows Last 16 hat-trick hero Henyekane who will offer him a tough challenge when the teams clash on Sunday.

_quote Evans, however, insists he is up for the task of containing the in-form striker.

“It is going to be a tough match particularly against Henyekane who is enjoying a great run of form. On his day, he can be a handful for defenders and showed that with a hat-trick against Chiefs in the last round.

“I and the other guys are up to the task and there is no way I will allow him to score a hat-trick, let alone a single goal.

“Arrows have been playing well of late and that itself points to a tough showdown.

“They have a brilliant player in Dikacgoi. He has accounted himself well in the colours of Bafana Bafana and Arrows. With his and Arrows’ form, we will have to be on our toes and well organised.”

Ajax did not do badly either over the weekend, emerging 1-0 winners over League champions SuperSport United.

But that came on the back of an away 2-0 defeat to AmaZulu in midweek.

Evans believes the team must show consistency if it is to fight for honours this season.

Six games into the league, Craig Rosslee’s side has won three matches, lost two and drawn the other one.
