Just four months into his debut season in Serie A, the unknown Polish striker has equalled a record of iconic Argentine striker Batistuta by scoring in each of his first seven games in the league.
After netting in the 3-1 defeat to Parma, the in-form Pole took his tally to nine goals in seven outings.
7 - Krzysztof #Piatek has scored for the seventh game in a row: Gabriel Omar Batistuta was the last player to score in each of the first seven Serie A matches back in 1994/95 (he did so in 11 straight games, ending the season with 26 goals). And after the game, he conceded the Blaugrana have started tracking his progress.
"I have heard that Barcelona want to sign me, but I do not believe it," Piatek told DAZN.
"I did very well last season and felt I needed to move on and I have only been here for two months helping my team, but who knows what the situation will be next year."
Overall, Piatek has scored 13 goals in eight starts across all competitions.
