Ertugral explains Nengomasha absence

Chiefs played new signing Reneilwe Letsholonyane as anchorman in place of Nengomasha in the game against the People’s Team and the former Jomo Cosmos star did not disappoint, crowning his superb performance with goal after great pass from Gert Schalkwyk

Amakhosi officials have refused to speak about Nengomasha’s absence at Loftus Stadium, but coach Muhsin Ertugral let it slip that the Zimbabwean international was left out of Saturday’s match for personal reasons.

“I prefer not to talk about it as they are his own personal problems but I’m hopeful that management will sort it out soon.”

Commenting about his dancing on the sidelines on Saturday which would have left even Kwaito artists green with envy, Ertugral said he was taken by the team’s great performance.

“I was very excited and I couldn’t help but dance with joy. I am very happy to see my players gelling as they did on Saturday. I hope they keep performing like this the whole season."

Ertugral also once again paid tribute to striker Jose Torrealba, who’s running off the ball was remarkable.

“Torrealba is not only a goal scorer but a very intelligent player that creates spaces for his teammates to exploit. This makes him a very integral part of this young team. His combination at the moment with Gert Schalkwyk is tremendous, but people should not expect him to score in every match,” said Ertugral.
