Molangoane has been out for six months since suffering a horrific broken leg in their MTN8 clash with Free State Stars back on August 11 last year.
A club statement from last month indicated that Molangoane had been making steady progress in his recovery from his long-term lay-off and a return to competitive training would occure at some point during February.
However, with the month now having come to an end, Middendorp has confirmed the contrary by ruling the diminutive wing-back out of contention until next season.
"He's far behind, I think he has no chance of coming back into the team this season," said the German boss ahead of their trip to Durban to host Highlands Park this weekend.
This leaves the 30-year-old in a rather precarious situation with his contract at Naturena set to come to an end in June, while the club have already brought in a newer model in Reeve Frosler in his position.
