Ambrose played from start to finish in Celtic's 2-0 victory over Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday.
Celtic defeated their host through goals that came in the space of three minutes.
English striker Gary Hooper shot the Scottish champions ahead in the 32nd minute, then Motherwell rightback Adam Cummins scored an unlucky own-goal three minutes later to wrap-up a 2-0 away win for the visitors.
Despite a yellow card he received in the 84th minute, Ambrose was put up an impressive display in his second consecutive start for Celtic after making his first start for his new club in their 4-1 win over Raith Rovers on Tuesday in the third round of the Scottish Communities League Cup.
Celtics will travel to Russia on Sunday night in preparation for their Champions League Group G game against Emmanuel Emenike's Spartak Moscow on Tuesday.
