Dinha already has new club lined up

The former Zimbabwe international signed for Aces at the end of February but was one of a dozen players that the club will no longer be keeping in the upcoming season.

“I am not bitter in any way and I hold no grudges against Aces whatsoever. I have to respect the decision they took as a club. I wish them all the best of luck going forward and they know that because I told them so,” says Dinha.

Dinha’s contract with Aces expired at the end of last month but was not renewed though the veteran anchorman did a superb job in the team’s miraculous run to the final of the Nedbank Cup.

The 35-year-old says he is definitely continuing with his playing career even though he has reached the twilight zone.

“I will definitely continue playing this season as there is something already lined up for me. Though I am not training with any team at the moment I am keeping fit alone. How long I will continue playing, I am not even sure myself because that is something I haven’t given much thought to, and in any case it will involve my family,” says Dinha.

Dinha moved to Aces after spending a lengthy spell on the sidelines following his fall out with FC AK whom he joined from Orlando Pirates.

Previously Dinha played for Seven Stars whom he joined when he arrived in South Africa in 1998 before moving over to Ajax Cape Town.
