Merahe is among the 15 players put on transfer by the Buccaneers during the off season.
The Wesselsbron-born midfielder is currently training with Bucs’ reserve team under the watchful eye of Augusto Palacios. Other players training under the Professor are Bongani Cashibe and Francis Chansa.
Speaking during an interview with Kickoff.com, Merahe could not fail to hide his frustrations about the possibility of starting a new season without a team.
“I’m sad and frustrated at not having a team. I am even starting to lose the will to go to training as there appears little hope of finding a new team.
“There was interest from Maritzburg United, but no-one came back to me. I am so desperate to play soccer again that I am ready to go anywhere as long as they give me a good offer. I will keep training hard and hopefully something positive will come up soon,” he adds.
Meanwhile, another Orlando Pirates transfer-listed midfielder, Luntu Mazana, who has been on loan to Bay United, is reported to have been offered a new contract by the PSL rookies after helping them qualify for the Absa Premiership.
