“The issue is now water under the bridge. I had a fruitful meeting with the chairman and I take this opportunity to welcome Gilbert to the team. I am looking forward to a successful working relationship with him,” he says in his column of Pirates’ website.
Da Gama’s former club, Platinum Stars, who are currently struggling to get results following his departure, can expect no mercy from a young Pirates’ side that is going from strength-to-strength when the two sides meet tomorrow.
“This may be a highly anticipated fixture but we will continue with our hard work which should see us bringing home all the desired three points. Therefore, we will not allow ourselves to be misled by Stars’ past and present results in our preparations for this fixture,” Da Gama adds.
