Rosslee, Da Gama linked with Usuthu

Usuthu were beaten 3-0 by SuperSport United on Saturday, and are still without a win after four matches. They are rooted to the bottom of the log, on one point, and have also conceded the most goals: 11.

Palmgren is likely to be dismissed when AmaZulu management meets to discuss the team's poor run. The coach is set to hand in a technical report to the club today.

According to our sources in Durban, Usuthu have already held talks with Rosslee and it is widely believed that the former Ajax Cape Town man is the leading contender to take over the reins.

Da Gama, who has coached Platinum Stars, Bloemfontein Celtic, Orlando Pirates and Free State Stars, is also reportedly being considered for the job.

"Roger had been given a few games to turn things around but after losing 3-0 against SuperSport at the weekend it now looks certain he with be axed very soon," our source at AmaZulu says.

"There has been contact with Graig Rosslee but so far nothing formal has been done in terms of who will be taking over the coaching reins."

But despite the rumours, Palmgren tells that he is confident he will keep his job.

"We had the same problem last season where we experienced such bad results," he says. "However, I am still confident that we will turn things around soon ... I have no doubt about that."

AmaZulu brand manager Lunga Sokhela says the club is worried about the poor results, but he cannot confirm whether or not Palmgren will be sacked.

"All of us are really concerned and are looking forward to his report. The club needs better performances," Sokhela says.
