The Genclerbirligi attacker who brokered peace between another Nigerian star, Taye Taiwo and Mikel before coach Samson Siasia recalled them both to the team, tells KickOffNigeria.com that he is not happy that Obi failed to beat the Monday night deadline.
“If Taiwo is here, I don’t see the reason why Mikel should not be here. Maybe he has his reasons for doing so, I don’t know; but it is not in his best interests not to utilise this opportunity.
“I know what we went through before coach Siasia agreed to recall them and I’m not happy at all with Mikel’s action as regards this matter,” Isaac told KickOffNigeria.com.
“As the captain of the team, I had to come to Abuja earlier enough to lead by example. I was to play an important match on Saturday which I shunned just to be in camp for the South Africa match.
“I think the coach gave us enough time to be in camp so there is no excuse for anybody not to be here.
“We are equal in this team. We don’t have a local or foreign-based player, but we are all Dream Team IV players, nothing more.
“I just want to advise Mikel that it is always good to heed the call of our fatherland in case of the future when he will need his fatherland,” he told KickOffNigeria.com.
