Mabalane was transfer-listed by Pirates last month before terminating his contract by mutual consent just before the closure of the transfer window on Friday evening. He now has his clearance and is a free agent which means he can join a club of his choice.
As the dust settles about his departure from Pirates the line of interested clubs is also growing with two clubs having already enquired about the winger.
Thabo Moloto, Mabalane's representative, confirms that there is interest with a surprise move for the 32 year-old looking possible.
"I can confirm that we now have his clearance at hand and there is already interest though I will rather not mention the names of the clubs.
"The good thing is that ‘Termi' is fit and we are working on getting him a club where he will play good football," says Moloto.
KickOff.com is aware of the two Premiership clubs – one in Tshwane and the other in Johannesburg – that have quickly raised a hand of interest along with a third that is showing interest.
Mabalane left Pirates having enjoyed good times at the club with his pace down the wings a constant threat.
