Abrahams gets full-time job

Abrahams took over after the sacking of Roger Sikhakane, who himself returned to the hotseat after Manqoba Mngqithi last just a handful of games.

But the appointment of Abrahams has finally bought some stability to the club, who have since managed to beat high-flying Platinum Stars and hold both Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United to draws.

The club said in a statement: “This was not a difficult decision to make from the chairman and the management’s point of view because of the stability that he has brought to the team. He understands the vision, type of football and the direction that as a team would like to pursue.

“He has been given a two-and-a-half-year contract. He will also be overseeing our development structure so as to produce young talent that is able to compete at an international level.”
