The Chilli Boys have dumped their previous Puma kit, replacing it with the popular rugby brand who sponsored ex-PSL club Mpumalanga Black Aces.
Club boss Chippa Mpengesi has expressed his pleasure at joining forces with Canterbury, while revealing that the sponsorship will extend to their junior teams from next season onwards.
"Chippa United Football Club has the pleasure to announce Canterbury as our new Technical Sponsor effective 01 July 2016," read the club's statement.
"The agreement was fostered by leading brand development house – Brand ID - which focuses on igniting sustainable and long term momentum for brands in the South African and Sub Saharan African markets."
“This is a fantastic deal for the Club and it gives me great pleasure to welcome Canterbury as our new Technical Sponsor," said Mpengesi.
"I am confident that Canterbury will enjoy the partnership with Chippa United, a team regarded by many as the fastest growing football brand in the country.
We are extremely proud to have our brand linked to Canterbury, and are delighted that this agreement will extend to our development teams as of the 2017/18 season.”
Brand ID President Du Toit Botes added: "Canterbury SA is all about building sustainable and long term business partnerships with likeminded partners such as Chippa United.
"We are looking forward to an exciting journey with the Club and helping them in every single way possible to achieve their goals.
"We wish Chippa United all the very best for the upcoming season and we will supporting them all the way to Victory!"
