Chiloane, who was also on Bloemfontein Celtic’s wanted list, is reported to have signed a pre-contract with Pirates after his agent Alex Bondarenko met with Bucs chairman Irvin Khoza last week to finalise a three-year contract.
The Vosloorus-born striker has confirmed that has signed for ‘one of the biggest teams in Gauteng’, but declined to divulge further details.
“My agent has told me not reveal the name of the team at this stage. Yes, it’s true that Celtic were also interested in sign me, but I don’t know what happened.
“I know people will put me under pressure asking why I signed for a big team, but every day in our lives we live with pressure and challenges. Even if I had signed for the smallest team there is no guarantee that I would have been in their starting line-up. I know that I will have to work hard to earn my position in the new team.”
