Basetsana, who will be standing in for the senior team Banyana Banyana, will battle it out in Group B along with the senior national teams of Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana.
The regional competition is due to start on Saturday in Angola and will run for a week up to May 10, with group matches being played at Malange and Huambo.
Group A will comprise relative lightweights Namibia, Mozambique, Swaziland and the hosts Angola.
From the eight teams participating, the top two sides in each group will then proceed to the semi-finals.
The South African team, coached by Anna Monate, is already in camp in Johannesburg and will use the tournament to prepare for the Under-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against DR Congo in May.
Basetsana will be boosted by the availability of several experienced players who have already turned out for the senior team; these include Memory Makhanya, Noko Matlou and Kylie-Ann Louw.
The team departs for Angola on Thursday.
