Chabalala says he is hoping to convince the technical team of his fitness and be back on the field for the club’s next fixture.
The 29-year-old player says he is relieved that he has been able to start training again.
“I have been missing the action. It is not pleasant sitting on the stands and watching my teammates lose games.
“Also, at my age, one has to be playing regularly and hopefully, now that I am back training, there will be an opportunity to do just that.”
Chabalala’s return will certainly be a big boost for AmaZulu as team manager James Dlamini has already admitted that his absence, plus that of fellow striker Dumisani Ngwenya, has been costly as they are now lacking firepower upfront.
“Chabalala’s return will go a long way in solving the problems we have in finishing, which is also the reason why we have not started the season as brightly as we would have wanted.”
