The tournament also sees Mamelodi Sundowns being pitted against Free State Stars in the other semifinal.

The first game between Phunya Sele Sele and their opponents will start at 09h00, with the second semifinal between Sundowns and Ea Lla Koto set for11h30.

The finals will be played at 16h00.

Sundowns’ communications manager Mahlatse Mphahlele said his team is already looking forward to the trip to Free State this weekend.

“This is a good chance, not only to keep the team busy during the league break, but to provide an opportunity for those players that have not seen much action this season.

“For us, it not just a friendly tournament because the pride and dignity of Mamelodi Sundowns always needs to be protected. That’s why we are going all out to win the tournament this weekend.”
