Cele, who was tipped for great things in football, has been in the wilderness since he was booted out of AmaZulu last season.

Sobantu are still in talks with ex-Pirates, SuperSport United and Maritzburg United midfielder Cavann Sibeko.

They already have ex-Kaizer Chiefs marksman Simphiwe ‘Mbambo’ Mkhize on their books. Mkhize played a part during their 6-0 demolition of Ulundi Stars at the weekend.
