Brazil win 3-2 on penalties!
2-1 to Brazil
1-0 to Brazil
1-0 to Brazil
David Luiz SCORES!
To penalties we go!
120 WOODWORK!! Pinalla hits the crossbar with a rasping shot from 20 yards out. Inches between progression and elimination!
117 - Whereas Chile dominated the second half and looked likely to win, they are now hanging on for penalties.
114 - Diaz the latest to shoot from distance, but this one might actually have gone all the way to Chile it's so far high and wide.
112 - Alves has a crack from distance, but nowhere near as good as his first one.
108 SUB: The cramping Medel replaced by Rojas
107 - Neymar forces a corner, from which Jo heads narrowly over.
SUB: Willian comes on for Oscar, who may well have had his worst ever game in a Brazil shirt
Extra-time HT: No clear chances, though Hulk came closest with his long-range shot
105 YELLOW: Alves booked after Pinalla runs into him. Strange call that.
104 - Hulk with another shot from range which Bravo is forced to parry. Hulk has been far and away Brazil's most threatening player.
102 YELLOW: Pinalla booked for a rough challenge
101 - Oscar with a tame header at the far-post. Almost the first time he has been seen. Completely anonymous.
99 - No chances at all in second half. Teams scared to make a mistake now.
93 - Jo with a high boot which catches Bravo on the arm/chest. The striker is booked for that.
92 - Hulk wins an early freekick on the edge of the area, and then refs up the crowd, urging them to get behind their team. However, his effort is blocked.
And off we go - another 30 minutes of all-out action!
End of 90 mins: We're going into extra-time, and Brazil are almost lucky to still be in it after Chile dominated the second half.
92 - Late corner conceded by Alves. Could this be the moment?
90 - Three minutes to be added on
87 SUB: Vidal comes off, with Pinila replacing him
83 - And Brazil suddenly wake up! Great skills by Hulk as he beats two defenders on the edge of the area and fires in a shot, which Bravo parries.
80 - So close for Neymar, who makes a rare appearance in the second half. A lovely floated cross finds the Number 10, but his close-range header is straight at Bravo and the danger is cleared.
74 - Great run and cross by Hulk, but where the substitute's first touch could have been legendary, it's non-existant as a Chile defender just gets a toe to it.
72 SUB: Fernandinho is replaced by Ramirez. Scolari desperate for some answers to what's happening here.
69 - Incredible how Brazil are now struggling to keep hold of the ball. Chile are all over them at the moment - an incredibly fit side this.
65 What a save Cesar! Excellent build-up play by Chile results in Aranguiz thundering a shot at goal, but the goalie reacts well and turns it around the post.
64 SUB: Jo comes on for Fred, who has been ... well, not great.
62 - Chile doing realy well now and Brazil are struggling to get out their half. Amazing how the mood in the stadium has changed.
60 YELLOW: Luis Gustavo is booked, and will miss the next match if Brazil progress.
57 SUB: Gutierrez replaces Vargas
55 - Goal Hulk!! No wait, it's ruled out for handball. Replays suggest it is a very close call. And Hulk is booked for the incident.
54 - Mena in lods of space down the left, but his cross is a poor one with options in the box.
52 - The Chileans are up for this! The are defending like Trojans, but can it be sustained?
49 - First chance of the second half falls to Fernandinho. Patient build-up play on the edge of the area eventually sees the ball to the Man City man, but his shot from distance goes about a metre wide.
46 - Second half underway. No changes at the break
HALFTIME: It's level at 1-1, and what a cracking game it's been! Brazil dominating, but Chile have shown guts aplenty and are still very much in it.
46 - Great block from Luiz as Sanchez breaks though. Corner to the visitors, but Silva clears.
45 Two minutes to be added ...
44 - Shots raining in on the Chile goal now as first Fred and then Hulk try their luck, but neither test the goalie.
42 - Dani Alves with a fierce strike from outside the box which Bravo tips over the bar.
40 YELLOW - Silva booked. He will miss the next match if Chile progress.
39 - A mistake at the back almost sees Brazil score again. Neymar causes havoc, but as the tackle forces the ball off him, it falls to Fred, who shoots over from close out.
36 - So close to Brazil being back in front. A cross from the right finds the unmarked Neymar. His header comes off the back of a defender and drifts inches wide.
Lax defending from a Brazilian throw-in sees Vargas cross the ball fall to an unmarked Sanchez. He takes a touch before firing into the far corner. Game on!
32 GOAL!!!! Sanchez scores!!!!
29 - Neymar goes down under a heavy challenge from Vidal, but again he makes the most of it. He's holding his head, but he fell on his shoulder. Odd.
26 - Neymar is showing some blistering pace and again he runs clear of the defence. They push him wide but he still has a shot which trickles well wide.
24 - Just seeing some replays of the goal. It seems it may have been an own-goal, but no confirmation so far.
It's been a great start by Brazil - their best of the tournament.
22 - Diaz with a good free-kick into the danger area, but Thiago Silva rises highest to head clear.
Brazil take the lead through Luiz at the back-post. The Chelsea man slots home from close range after Hulk's perfect flick-on from a corner.
18 GOAL!!!! David Luiz
17 YELLOW - Mena booked for a deliberate handball.
16 - Another chance for Brazil as Neymar breaks through. He could have taken a shot, but instead cuts back inside and the moment is lost.
15 - Brazil with a freekick in a VERY dangerous position, but Neymar's delivery is for once poor. Should have done better ...
13 - Great play by Brazil, and in particular Hulk, who eventually goes down in the box under a challenge from Isla. Brazil appeal, but again the referee gives nothing.
11 - Sanchez breaks down the right and plays in a cross towards Vargas, who fails to get to it. He claims to have been fouled, but the ref is having none of it.
10 mins gone and no clear chances, but there is no shortage of intensity. And a lot of nervous tension from the fans.
7 - Bit of a concern for Brazil as Neymar is still limping from an earlier challenge. They will be praying this is not serious.
5 - Brazil win the first corner courtesy of Luis Gustavo. The ball falls to Marcelo on the edge of the area, but his curling effort does not have enough on it.
3 - Fernandinho goes in hard on Arangiuz. Tempers look to flare, but ref Webb steps in.
2 - Chile swing in an early freekick, but Brazil clear well. Hulk tries to initiate a quick counter, but his pass is cut out.
Brazil last lost a competitive match at home in 1975!!
1 - And we're off. Brazil playing from right to left.
Howard Webb from England is the referee.
Chile anthemn completely drowned out by the local crowd.
The Brazilian support in this stadium is unbelievable! A see of yellow. Must be a bit intimidating for the Chileans...
The first of the Last 16 matches pits the host nation against one of the surprise packages. Brazil are favourites, but many are predicting an upset here ...
