Wits progress to Gauteng Cup Final

Ofentse Nato scored the only goal for the Clever Boys in the 79th minute with a free header to send the Students through. Wits now wait for either Kaizer Chiefs or Moroka Swallows in the Final.

Gavin Hunt’s men dominated the match from the start, but could not create enough chances to score and hardly tested Wits keeper Steven Hoffman in goal.

Despite not seeing much of the possession, the Clever Boys could have double their score towards the end of the match but United defended well.

Wits assistant coach Eric Tinkler paraded new signings which included Tinashe Nengomasha, Matthew Pattison, Calvin Kadi, and Aaron Mokoena, while SuperSport paraded Innocent Mdledle and Clifford Mulenga.
