South Africa will take on Brazil in Sao Paolo on Friday, September 7, and will host Mozambique on Tuesday, September 11 at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.

Andile Jali and Teko Modise are notable absences from the squad, while Moeneeb Josephs has returned after retiring from the national team recently.

A very positive Igesund is insistent that the players he selects for the national team "must be performing for their club", and must have a high level of fitness.

"We need to make this national team very competitive, where players don't feel they are automatically selected," Igesund says.

The coach also stresses that he wanted to pick a well-balanced team, meaning some of the best players have been left out of the squad.

On the sidelined players, Igesund adds: "This was the chance for me to see some of the players I haven't seen before, so let's not talk about who has been left out of the squad."
