Bayern target Kovac alternatives

News

After nine consecutive victories under the new management of Kovac, the wheels have slowly turned for the former Croatia and Eintracht Frankfurt boss.

The Bavarian giants are winless in their past four games across all competitions, sixth in the Bundesliga and trailing leaders Borussia Dortmund by four points.

The champions have struggled to move on from Pep Guardiola, who moved to Manchester City in 2016. Carlo Ancelotti lasted little over a year at the Allianz Arena, and replacement Jupp Heynckes was always going to be a short-term fix.

Former player Kovac impressed with Eintracht Frankfurt to earn the job but has been forced to deal with a wave of early-season injuries. Kingsley Coman, Corentin Tolisso and Rafinha are among the many players who have missed significant time already.

Now according to Sport Bild, Bayern have sounded out the potential moves for iconic Arsenal figure Wenger and three-time UEFA Champions League winning coach Zidane.

While Kovac will still be handed some time to rectify the current slump due to his bourgeoning reputation in European football, the French duo have been lined up is drastic action needs to be taken.
