Kapini doesn't fear Nomvete

With Usuthu finishing seventh in the 2011/12 Premiership they are set to take on second placed finishers Moroka Swallows in the top eight competition.

And while Kapini admits the Dube Birds have a good attack, he feels AmaZulu's defence is their biggest asset and rightly so considering they only conceded 24 goals in last season's league campaign.

"In their midfield and attacking, they (Swallows) are very strong, but we have our own strongest point and it is our defence," explained the shot-stopper who went on to add they can keep Siyabonga Nomvete at bay.

Nomvete finished last season as the league's top goal scorer with 20 goals, but that does not bother Kapini.

"You always need to focus on him (Nomvete), his runs off the ball are always good and he is good on the ball, so we need to communicate. If we communicate well we can manage to control Nomvete," said the Zimbabwean international.

Kapini also touched on his side's goals for the season which might surprise many a football pundit.

"In PSL, every team wants to win the league, so as AmaZulu we can't just say we want to keep finishing top eight, we want to go for the top honours – it may come as a surprise to many people but to us we are going to participate to win the league, not just to play for a top eight position."
