Amajita look beyond Africa

The South Africa Under-20 squad beat Botswana 4-1 on aggregate score to qualify for the AYC in Rwanda next year January.

Serame Letsoaka’s boys are aiming to achieve the feat accomplished by Shakes Mashaba’s side in 1997 where the South Africans reached finals of the tournament in Morocco.

_quote Mphahlele promises the nation that they will achieve more than Mashaba’s team and go to win the World Youth Championship in Egypt.

“This is one of the best youth teams ever assembled in the country. There was no way that we could have lost against Botswana. We are looking beyond Rwanda and want to see ourselves in Egypt playing in the World Youth Championship finals."

The Moroka Swallows’ defender also expressed hope that some of the PSL teams will allow players to join Amajita for the trip to Rwanda for the African Youth Championship tournament next year January.

“You saw on Saturday the difference that was made by the presence of players like Mandla Masango and Ace Bhengu. I pray that PSL teams will give their players the opportunity to participate in the tournament in Rwanda next year."
