Goal-shy Aduana confident against WAC

The side from the Brong Ahafo region will take Champions League football that side of the country for the first time ever and are hoping to create an intimidating atmosphere at their Dorma Ahenkro venue against Wydad Athletic Casablanca Aduana were handed a 0-3 thrashing the first leg and despite barely managing more than one goal a game in the last two seasons, they remain confident they can take out the experienced Moroccan campaigners.

Scoring an early goal is a major priority for the side who emerged from the lower division to win the Ghana league title and they will look to take full advantage of the weather with a 2pm kick off when they hope it will be a bit too hot for the Moroccans.

Wydad though are no strangers to travels on the continent. They famously denied Kumasi Asante Kotoko a Cup Winners Cup victory in 2002 at the Kumasi Stadium and will feel with a three-goal advantage that they are well placed to go through to the next stage.

If they advance at the expense of Aduana though it will represent another major failing in the top most continental club football competition for Ghanaian clubs but AshantiGold are well placed to advance in the other competition, the Confederations Cup.

The Obuasi club has a 1-0 advantage from the first leg against Siwe Sport of the Ivory Coast and should see the tie through at the Len Clay Stadium.
