Morocco are scheduled to host the continent’s showpiece tournament, but media in the country say that at a meeting on Wednesday between CAF and the LOC, it was agreed to push the event back.
It is now believed that the tournament could take place in either June 2015, or then January 2016.
However, a final decision is only likely when CAF’s executive committee meets in Algiers on Sunday.
“It is at this point that the issue will be resolved. Before [that] these are only speculations," a source claimed.
The deadly Ebola has so far claimed over 5000 lives. Morocco had been looking to give up the hosting rights, with Ghana and South Africa earmarked to take over, but so far CAF is having none of it.
