Rama: Chiefs taking nothing for granted

Nedbank Cup

Amakhosi travel to the Kabokweni Stadium as huge favourites to progress to the quarter-finals as they square off against the ABC Motsepe League side, but with United having dispatched Cape Town City in the last-16, Mphahlele knows they can ill afford to take anything for granted this afternoon.

Starting XIs: Acornbush vs Kaizer Chiefs

“We have worked hard to prepare for this match,” Rama told Chiefs' official website. “It is clear in the dressing room that we take the Nedbank Cup very seriously. It’s our aim to win it. That’s why we need to beat Acornbush to progress to the quarters.”

He continued: “We have put ourselves in a good position by reaching this stage. We are in this round of 16 of the Nedbank Cup and in a fine log position, with only a three points deficit to the leader. I am happy as long as we win. We want to make our supporters happy and proud.”

Reverting back to his assessment of Acornbush, Rama said: “There are many sources of information about them – they are a good team to play against. They only lost one league game this season, never losing at home.”
