But with club football set to take centre-stage again, several teams will be making a go for the Nedbank Cup as the quarterfinals kick-off on Wednesday and continue into the weekend.

Amakhosi are set to host Cape Town City on Sunday afternoon out at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, with the hopes of taking another step towards ending their three-year trophy drought.

Ntiya-Ntiya, meanwhile, has sent out a stern warning to The Citizens as he declares Chiefs are a better side at the present moment.

“It’s a crucial game. We want to progress to the next stage,” Ntiya-Ntiya told his club’s website ahead of this weekend’s clash at the Mbombela Stadium.

“We are the better side now. We totally dominated them in our last match, despite losing 1-0.

“That’s not going to happen again. We just have to play our normal game and take our chances.”
