The former Bidvest Wits and Jomo Cosmos player suffered a hamstring strain against Orlando Pirates on Saturday and had to leave the field after just seven first-half minutes, being replaced by Zephaniah Mbokoma.
“It [the injury] is getting much better because even now I'm here by the physio,” Zulu tells KickOff.com.
The player admits that the injury might have been caused by a lack of game time.
"I guess [it was caused by a lack of playing time], It's a hamstring [injury]: after my captain passed the ball on the space, I had to stretch my leg wide."
Asked when he expects to return to full fitness, Zulu says: “[Before the] Nedbank Cup semi-final."
That does, however, mean Zulu is likely to miss Saturday’s league clash against Ajax Cape Town, where the Chilli Boys will be hoping for nothing less than victory as they look to extend the one-point gap between themselves and the relegation zone.
He will, therefore, be targeting the May 13 meeting against SuperSport, the defending Nedbank Cup champions, as his likely return date.
