Fikizolo: I want to destroy Pirates

The youngster has signed a three-year deal after his two stunning strikes against Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 catapulted his name into South African football circles.

The 19-year-old is delighted to have signed for one of the country's biggest clubs.

"I'm really, really excited because it was something I was looking forward to doing. I have been praying to get a chance like this and thank God, He has the power. Things are happening and now I will have to use the chance," Fikizolo tells

"Cavin Johnson and the management fortunately saw something which others didn't and thanks to my coach at Thanda, Thami Ngubani, who gave me a chance in the Nedbank Cup where I scored two goals.

"I'm very happy to have signed for SuperSport United and I know there were other teams who were also keen to sign me like Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates. SuperSport is the team that I thought I will do well in and grow as a player and show my talent as others have done in the past and moved to Europe."

When asked what will be the first thing he will do to introduce himself to his new coach, Fikizolo responds confidently.

"Whatever they saw in me while I was in the NFD I will show them again that what I did at Richards Bay Stadium against Pirates was not a fluke for Thanda," says the player, who grew up supporting Golden Arrows.

"The first match we will play against them [Pirates] and I have to prove myself again in the MTN8. At SuperSport United we have good and decent players and players who are at a high standard.

"I want to show SuperSport that you are welcome for signing me by destroying Pirates."
