Maritzburg will contest the first leg of the semi-finals tonight against Matsatsantsa at Lucas Moripe Stadium (20h15).
Fadlu Davids' side, who top the Premiership log with six points from two games, edged Sundowns with a 1-0 scoreline in the quarter-finals with a conservative brand of football at the same venue.
"We’re in a good space at the moment,” Shandu told his club's website. "The mood is great and the spirit is really high, but we all know it’s a big task we’re facing on Saturday evening.
"But I must add, that as much as we can be satisfied with the results achieved so far this season, we need to remember that’s just the beginning of the year.
"So we need to take the coach’s advice, work hard and focus on each game individually. This weekend will be no different. SuperSport are a quality side with quality players, most of whom play for the various national teams. But we’re going to fight, and fight like we always do.
"We'll go in with similar tactics to the ones we used in the previous round. Hopefully we will be able to come away with a good result from that first leg."
The 22-year-old added: "Personally I'm feeling in good shape and naturally the confidence is also good with the results we have been producing. But personally I need to make sure I avoid complacency. I know I’m going to have to continue working hard to help the team."
