Moloi: No pressure on Bacela

The 30-year-old striker scored the Buccaneers’ only goal on Tuesday from the penalty spot as they came back from behind to hold arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs to a 1-1 a draw in the second leg of their semi-final tie, a result which handed them a 2-1 aggregate win.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic striker has also been on target in the CAF Champions League and is on five goals so far this season, but Moloi says the whole team is responsible for scoring goals.

“The goal scoring problem that everyone is associating with Pirates, it’s not there,” Moloi insists. “The goals are being shared amongst our players.

“When Bacela goes in there he knows that he relies on other players to create for him and he can also come up with something out of nothing.

“Bacela knows that he has to graft and take each and every chance that comes his way but he’s got no pressure at all.”

Bacela netted a brace during the quarter-final clash against SuperSport United which saw the Buccaneers sneaking through on penalties as the two sides were deadlocked at 2-2 after extra time.
