Baxter: We've a slight advantage

Amakhosi travel to Orlando Stadium on the back foot after losing the first leg 1-0 at Soccer City Stadium last month, but Baxter believes all is not lost for his side.

Bucs played on Sunday against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League, making it to the semis of Africa's premium competition and Baxter says the fact that Pirates only had Monday to rest could be an advantage for Chiefs, who played against Platinum Stars on Saturday.

“I will take the extra day, because I wouldn't like to be in Roger De Sa's shoes. The most important thing is how we use this advantage and they [Pirates] have to feel that they are a little bit weary. We will see how the game develops, but it is a potential bonus for us but we have to use it,” Baxter says.

He adds: “When we take to the field, there is nothing else in our minds than winning the game. So we have to be totally focused. Look, you go into every game optimistic… I'm always optimistic, not just for this game. I always believe in the players and believe in what we are doing.”
