Masango: Macufe Cup is important

Kaizer Chiefs

The 24-year-old, who made his debut for Amakhosi in 2007/08, has for the past few seasons been playing second fiddle to the regular Chiefs midfield, but he says he is still confident of playing a pivotal role for the club in future.

“As a player, I want to play every match. That’s not something to hide. I wanna play like everyone else,” Masango admits. “[But] I haven’t lost my confidence. My confidence will always be there.”

Masango will feature for Chiefs in the Macufe Cup against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday and he says that the match is very important for players in his situation.

“It is not about proving anything to the coach and it is more like getting game-time. The match is important for everyone and since it is a Fifa week, we all need game-time,” he says.
