The only other player still playing in the PSL to have earned a century of goals in the modern PSL era (since 1996) is Moroka Swallows forward Siyabonga Nomvete, who currently stands at 110 goals.
The only other players to ever go past the 100-mark in the PSL era are the retired duo of Daniel Mudau (108) and Manuel ‘Tico-Tico’ Bucuane (104). Wilfred Mugeyi (123) would also be there, but scored some of his goals pre-1996/97.
Khenyeza’s strike against Bloemfontein Celtic was his 100th League and cup goal in club football since making his debut at Golden Arrows way back in 2002.
He scored his first ever goal was on December 4, 2002, against Ajax Cape Town in his debut season in professional football.
That season (2002/03) he went on to finish with a dozen goals.
Since then the 31-year-old has scored for every club that he has played for, from Arrows, Kaizer Chiefs, Ajax Cape Town (two spells), Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United and his current club Black Aces.
Khenyeza has played his entire career in the PSL since breaking into top flight, football unlike Nomvete, who spent seven and a half years battling with the demands of European football, scoring a mere 15 goals during his time overseas.
