Amakhosi’s run of three wins in a row came to end after they were held to a goalless draw by the Lions of the North on Tuesday evening.

“Good game, both teams played well. We created chances to score but it’s a pity [we didn’t score]. I appreciate the effort from my players. In the last minute they tried to win the game so I’m happy,” Solinas told SuperSport TV.

“Difficult game to play because of the small field, the grass was not good to play combinations. It was not easy today.

“I don’t like playing a lot of long balls, long throw-ins. It’s a farting game. In the second half we created chances to win the game it’s a pity we didn’t convert these chances. But it’s okay we now focus on the next game.”

The Italian concluded by saying that he’s disappointed with a draw as Amakhosi are always playing to win matches.

“Kaizer Chiefs always need three points. Kaizer Chiefs plays to win the game so when we draw we are not happy. But it’s okay the league is still long, there are a lot of games to play. So now we focus on the next game, Saturday we have a very important game,” he said.
