Chiefs are showing signs of life again in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge as they won their second game in a row with a 2-0 victory over Maritzburg United in Daveyton on Saturday.
Sibongiseni Hlengwa and Given Thibedi got the goals either side of the break at Sinaba Stadium to lift Amakhosi to ninth in the standings with 10 points from nine games.
“It is long overdue that we started winning consistently,” Zwane told the club's website.
“We are now solid at the back and, as a result, they got a minimum of chances to strike at our goal.
“We could have scored more if you look at the opportunities that we created. However, I am content with the complete performance on the day. I am convinced that we are finally getting there. Our tactical awareness and decision-making was spot on.”
With the MDC now on a recess Zwane's charges will return to full training on January 4, 10 days before their next match with title contenders SuperSport United.
Zwane added: “We have given the players a training programme to maintain their fitness during the break and we will test them when they get back. Remember, part of development is to teach responsibility and the boys are well aware of that.”
