South African ballers get fit!

Health & fitness

Being fit is of the utmost importance to some footballers! With that said, a group of South African ballers have taken to Instagram to show their intense workouts. Check it out!

As much as style matters to some Mzansi footballers, physique and fitness are also a big priority to some and with a manager only being able to field 11 ballers, those who find themselves out of the squad, will be doing everything to get onto the team sheet.

While some footballers spend a lot of time practicing passing, crossing and shooting, others work hard in the gym to improve their stamina and strength.

The first star you see in the images above is that of George Lebese who is currently a free agent after a two-year stint in the United States of America. The 32-year-old has shown that he still has something to offer as he races on the stationary bike which is known to improve legs and lower body strength.

TS Galaxy star Spiwe Given Msimango is a centre-back who often shows off the hard yards he puts into his craft. In the picture above, you will see the 24-year-old working himself into a sweat as he aims to get himself at his peak fitness.

Orlando Pirates winger Thembinkosi Lorch was on the bicycle recently for at least 35 minutes as he works his way back to full health after being ruled out for the remainder of the year through injury.

Lorch’s teammate Linda Mntambo is another fitness freak who uploaded pictures of himself exercising in the last few days.
