Big NFD mandate set for ex-Bucs striker

GladAfrica Championship can confirm that Richards Bay United have appointed former Orlando Pirates striker Ian Palmer as their new coach.

Palmer's appointment has been confirmed by club boss Jomo Biyela.

Truter has since joined Swallows FC.

Biyela says Palmer's mandate is to take the KwaZulu-Natal outfit to the PSL next year.

"Both Nkosi and Ntuli were doing quite well but we needed a head coach. They will remain as Palmer's assistant coaches," Biyela tells

"His mandate is to take the club to the PSL next season."
