Royal AM boss Andile Mpisane has saved his club from embarrassment after settling outstanding payments to Jomo Cosmos striker Moeketsi Sekola and TS Galaxy midfielder Mbulelo Wambi.
Sekola and Wambi together with a few other players were owed money related to settlements after Mpisane got involved with Real Kings before buying the club this season.
The other player who was said to be owed by Real Kings is midfielder Sonke Ntuli, who has also managed to receive his settlement.
South African Football Players' Union spokesperson Calvin Motloung confirms Mpisane has settled outstanding payments with the players owed from last season.
"The case was supposed to go for DRC but Sinky Mnisi [Royal AM CEO] negotiated that we settle this matter without the involvement of the DRC," Motloung tells KickOff.com.
"I can confirm now that the club has honoured their promise and the players have been paid."
Mpisane hired former Mamelodi Sundowns talent scout Floyd Mogale as a coach in a bid to take Royal AM to the top-flight next season.
